For anyone that doesn't know, in context, the Nazi Party had a butter v guns debate in the lead-up to World War Two. Conservative economist Hjalmar Schacht was the 'butter' side of the debate in that he wanted Germany's economic self-sufficiency to be defined through consumer goods.
