The number 1 scene that should have been left in OF ALLLLLLL time! Talk about making a great movie better!
The clip cuts off early, but I seem to remember that the last gun quits firing while it still has several rounds of ammo left; implying that the aliens are intelligent enough to have given up their direct assault out of respect for the sentry guns, and not knowing how much ammo they have left.
You have to figure with all that acid all over the place in the corridor, there would have been a hole you could drive an 18 wheeler through
Hope you got your shittin´pants on…
Quite possibly the coolest scene from a movie that didn't make the release, thankfully we have director cuts. Thanks James you shoulda kept it in but Fox execs said too long
left and right lil buddy
Those guns are incredibly inefficient, as are most machine guns. Blindly blasting away at movement only wastes ammo. More accurate, more efficient, guns, based on "one shot, one kill" with followup shots only if movement still exists within a specific target, would be far more effective. A precision sniper, for example, is nearly always more effective, and more deadly.
shouldn't have all that acid blood eaten through the hull? DUUUUUMB
I love this auto. gun scene, but in Foster's book it is really good described.
The movie channels on my cable system never show the uncut version..this scenes & the hadley's hope one are so good it really makes the ? movie.
I wonder if the Colonial Marines would have done better if they had gotten their sentries from TF2. You know, the big Level 3 Sentry Guns?
Sort of a pointless scene, IMO. Why do we need to see the counters dropping and hear him read them? There's no real dramatic tension here; it's too obvious that this isn't going to really stop a whole horde of them.
Makes sense this got cut.
So coool
could dc's darkseid omega beam kill all xenomorphs in a row? ?
the scariest movie scenes are the ones that are not seen on camera.
this scene is so fucking good
At least the guns were able to make the aliens retreat temporarily…
this scene first showed on Laser Disc special addition. .Now you know
Soviet womble.
Too bad they couldn't use the cannon sounds and screams for an alarm clock.
What's interesting is this scene was not cut from the graphic novels that came out. I clearly remember in the comics, Hicks saw that all their sentry guns were almost out of ammo and shrugged "Next time, they'll just come up and knock." I don't know which line was more scary, this one or when Newt said "They come out at night, mostly."
you should have shown the next few seconds where Ripley stopped Hicks. A huge relief. For now.
Aren't it MS-DOS command prompt
Five nights at LV-426
R.I.P. Bill Paxton.
Am I the only one that's never seen the theatrical cut? I've seen the director's cut hundreds of times and I've heard of these scenes being cut.
I have a feeling I know why this scene was cut..correct me if I'm wrong.
Just shooting ONE was detrimental to the ship because of it's acid blood, but gunning them down en-mass would totally fuck up whatever space domicile that they were in.
You can say about Aliens Colonial Marines what you want but I loved that you could find the empty sentry guns and one of it got still 10 ammos left.
Next time they come right up and knock
I want a fucking sentry gun.
"Better nuke it from orbit"
Graphic description.
A lower rate of fire with explosive rounds would have allowed the auto turrets to hold out longer.
This scene reminds me of Spielberg — simple but very effective — brilliant
This scene isn't that great. I used to have this version on VHS and always found it a bit dull to watch those screens of numbers, and listen to those beeping alarms. And they drag the scene on a bit too long — we all know what's gonna happen.
Da hell I was seen this scene. see again and there isn't.
Why the fuck did you cut the end?
R.I.P. Bill Paxton.
Man this one hell of a movie.
Pres. Trump is taking many notes from this scene
Wonder why this scene was cut in the first release
The one aspect that I didn't really understand was if the xenomorphs have acid as blood, and they're being shot from left to right, how come the doors don't dissolve, at least partially? Some of their blood had to spray onto the door
Should of loaded more sentry guns for that trip…
-"Someone said 'alien' and she thought they meant illegal alien and signed up!"
-"Secure that shit Hudson!"
rip bill
..but Im a vindictive bastard now. So, its the thought that counts.
"folies aux plusieurs", in other words, something that existed ONLY in everybody else's head. Yet despite massive majority, NOT AT ALL, EVER , in REALITY. Never.
tragic.
Merkel on the european border: But the xenomorph aliens also bring poor facehugger children.
Think about the facehuggers and open your heart!
Why did they set 2-2 guns/tunnel if 1 gun only has 500 ammo? 1 gun would have been able to defend 1 narrow tunnel but by doing it this way half the bullets were waisted since most of the times both guns fired on the same target .
A fantastic movie that has stood the test of time. the blue ray version has this scene restored I think.
this is drama. perfect movie
