Axl sounds amazing.
The rest of the "band" sounds terrible, like a bar band trying to play a song that sounds like Guns N' Roses. Guitar tone's all wrong, for a start. Not dirty enough. Guess that's what happens when you have two virtuoso dickheads who rely on visual gimmicks to mask their total lack of musical personality.
It's been said by someone in these comments before. Fantastic lyricist, vocalist, writer & performer. Pity Axl is a prick. Intensely creative type people are always really difficult people. I do love this album, but it was never going to live up to the hype that was built up around it. Now instead of this endless touring by the current lineup, what us real old school fans want to hear is some new material.
I think I just figured something out. I think a lot of Axl's genius comes from knowing how to play the piano. The instrument gave him a certain understanding of music that, maybe, other musicians lack.

I heard this whole entire CD and I was very disappointed. I think that if axle would had put a lot more time and much better songs into this.it probably could have been a successful cd. Plus not only that if it was with the original Guns N Roses it could have been a lot more successful then it has. Or I think axle should had done this as a solo CD instead. I mean compared to Guns and Roses other CDs I mean come on Chinese Democracy is very disappointing CD.
I really hope they add this one when they tour again, I always felt this song was tailor made for Slash.
