Ar-15 doesn't use 5.76 ammo (5.76 isn't a real ammo btw) it uses .223 ammo a m16 uses 5.56
So the gun differences are entirely irrelevant and the the gun violence has been going down according to your chart. Only slightly by appearance of your chart mind you.

The way I think gun control should be is that the more deadly the weapon the more training you should have. Such as the case with cars and how they have different types of license. As the way to determine how deadly a weapon is, is up to the government

Guns are not the problem people are, as a 2nd amendment supporter I can completely agree with an increase of background checks, licenses, and safety classes to own a gun. Now if a mass shooting was to occur it can easily be prevented by someone who uses a firearm responsibly and correctly
