Haven't even watched the video but as a life long farmer and a consultant for farms.
.410 shotgun and 22lr are the two I see used the most.
    Then you've got the 12G and 30-06
Those 4 are on every farm in America and are easily the most used toss in a random hand gun as every farmer had his own preference and you've got the 5 guns of the American farmer 🤷‍♂️

I love the video, but I gotta say…
    Where's the .22?!!!
No farmer's safe is complete without a 10-22 or a Marlin repeater!
    I'm just Sayin'🤷🏼‍♂️

I was gonna buy a farm but I spent my savings on guns. My brother was gonna buy guns but he spent his savings on farm. My dad is a plumber.

Suppressors also don't chase away all the game in the county…
And I'm a .30-06 fan, the options for rounds and the variety of firearms is great… And .30-06 can be found anywhere in the world. But that's me.
And don't forget the "Singer" sewing machine .45ACP!

Very enjoyable Top 5 edition! Thanks for making this Eric! Kudos to Farmer Will.
Before the start my guess was that an SKS would be in the line up 😉

Wtf? What kind of Farmer or Rancher doesn't choose a lever action rifle as one of their choices? 😒👎

  12. Survivor Prepper

Nah, 5.56x45mm Nato is overall a better round than 300 AAC Blackout.

    Farm boy here also.
    I’ve got a rifle that ONLY shoots 22 Shorts. Great shape. Double barrel 10 gauge, T. Barker. A 410, a 20 gauge a few 12 gauges.
Dad had a 223B with a scope which he regrets selling but ammo for it is super hard to find.

Cant believe you basically said to take in consideration a firearms look when buying a gun because it might hurt someone's emotions. Turn in your man card and delete this channel. You are a fraud and fake.

IMO, farm guns should be classics (not necessarily with date of manufacturer, but with old school functionality):
    1. Marlin 1894/1895, Henry Big Boy, or Winchester
    2. S&W 29/629 or Ruger Redhawk .44
    3. Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 12 Gauge
    4. Wood furniture bolt .30-06 or .308
    5. Ruger 10/22, Henry .22, or Marlin model 60.

Farmer? Would he not be more considered more a cattle rancher? My choices would be an AR15, 12g semi auto, Ruger 10-22, Rem 700 in 308, and a Glock 19

  25. Jason Somers

Umm you do understand that if you can’t buy a round/shell at dollar general or Walmart it’s not a farm fun right? “Ethical” and “Farm gun” never should be put together in the same topic. I’ve had 3 glocks (17,22,19) and all three broke multiple extractors. I washed my hands of glock forever!!!! CZ P-01 All the way!!! The SKS, .30-06/.308, .22 revolver with lead and bird shot and 10/22. P.S. Ditch the hat dude, your not Jason Aldean or a cowboy!

A .300blk but no .22?!?!? I’m not going to listen to him if he doesn’t choose THE utilitarian calibre

  27. Clayton Goerlitz

I wasn’t raised on a farm, but being raised in the forest in Texas, there’s coyotes, hogs, and other things. For coyotes I recommend either 20 or 12 gauge, and hogs a 22 or higher caliber rifles like 30-06 or 308 for big boars

.22LR is a 100% requirement, as is a shotgun…….everything else is area/terrain/operation dependent (midwest grain farm vs. western cattle ranch).

Suppress everything! Same here, I want to suppress it all, even if I still need ear pro. Also, electronic ear pro while hunting makes me feel like I have a super hearing.
