Lyrics:
I guess
I thought we were indivisible
Remember when the distance wasn’t insurmountable
I’d run all night
Just to hear you speak in tongues to me
Now we stare at phones
And talk in awkward teenage poetry
When I get to you yeah my blood runs cold
‘Cos I don’t recognise the person I behold
Underneath the moon yeah we shake our bones
But I don’t understand
When you speak in tongues
I can’t understand a single word you say
Sex and politics a dangerous game we play
It’s all we’ve ever known
We’re speaking in tongues
Face to face but miles away
We’re speaking in tongues
I can’t find the words to say
We’re speaking in tongues
You’re speaking in tongues
You’re speaking in tongues to me
I confess
I was never one for waxing lyrical
But the radio
Taunts me with its modern parables
It don’t make sense but it’s all I know
When you’re face down there’s still further to go
Underneath the moon yeah we shake our bones
But I don’t understand
When you speak in tongues
I can’t understand a single word you say
Sex and politics a dangerous game we play
It’s all we’ve ever known
We’re speaking in tongues
Face to face but miles away
We’re speaking in tongues
I can’t find the words to say
We’re speaking in tongues
You’re speaking in tongues
You’re speaking in tongues to me
I danced with the devil
In the pale moonlight
You’ve got such a sharp tongue
Cuts me like a knife
I danced with the devil
In the pale moonlight
You’ve got such a sharp tongue
Cuts me like a knife
We’re speaking in tongues
I danced with the devil
We’re speaking in tongues
I danced with the devil
We’re speaking in tongues
I danced with the devil
In the pale moonlight
Oh

I'm so addicted
I'm too lazy to read why almost everyone are complaining tbh, this is good and I'm only pissed off at the fact that I cannot buy this on iTunes, WHY? u-u or is this only in my country is THIS BECAUSE ITS TOO GOOD TO BE ON MY PLAYLIST WHYYYY
this could go with spooky week
Awesome track…..enough said…haters go do one!!
Am the only one wondering about the missing verse? Or is this one some how different from the CD? So confused
You know, I personally don't care if a band changes style- if I like it I like it, if not then no. And come on people, this is NOT pop! A pop artist would NEVER make music like this! Bands need to change or it would go waaaaay down in quality and you'd be disappointed that all of their songs sound the same. Admit it
I think It´s really goooooooood!!!!! ************
I can't stop listening to this song!
The first album I heard by them was Bones, and really is there that much difference between that and the new album. Personally I cant wait for the album.
Initially wasn't a fan but after a few listens it's great.
I decided to judge the music on it's quality and not it's genre or level of heaviness
For all those folks who say young guns has lost it:
1. Wait for the album. Listen to it, from start to finish.
2. Listen to the other albums.
3. Realize that it is a change, and maybe we should wait for the next album. Young Guns never had two similar albums. I like this one. Don't mean they will stick to this trend in their next disc.
4. If annoyed, dear, there's the door. =)
Well +Young Guns this is my very first time listening to one of your songs, very impressive. Keep it going (Y)
I realize you can't stand spamming, nobody does, but these folks are more than worth it!

I say it is fantastic!
Take a look at the video URL
It is fantastic!!! They are moving forward.
lol i tried with my marshall monitors headphones and it sounded perfect. could hear any instrumentals. well it depends what people are using to hear.. my headphones sounds good in rock. lucky me i guess but i know what you mean by not sounding so good and clear. i had the same sound with other pair of headphones and speakers i used before. it all comes in sound exprience
this song is terrible variation of everything bad pop music has and had in the past. Oh my… what`s wrong with you, seriously? you started greatly and now this letdown. At the same time Rising Up sounds amazing, hopefully album more like that rather than this popcrap.
I feel like this song could have been better with a different producer. There's too much going on, especially in the top end. It's still good but it feels like there's no depth or space to hold onto in the sound for it to grab my attention. Maybe it's my speakers but I tried a few different sets and on them all it sounds like the low end is lacking. The song itself is good but it just doesn't jump out at me or drag me in the way I wish it did, which sucks because pretty much the whole Bones album did that for me. Still, I'm really excited to be hearing new music from Young Guns! Thanks guys!
I loved I Want Out. Not so much this though. I still look forward to their new album.
Would love to see a music video or lyric video of At the gates! Haha just saying
Amazing music, with a very good chorus, on par with "I Want Out", surely buy the album ! I'm from Brazil 🙂
Kinda sad how they used to get like 1 — 4 million views on their videos. Used to be such a huge fan of their music on 'All Our Kings Are Dead'. I even bought the CD. I guess people, like I have, moved on from the songs that are around 4 years old.
I love it!
simple if you dont like it dont listen to it …ive followed YG for the last 6/7 years and think they are brilliant their live sets are awesome .so please dont slate em everyone has different musical tastes 🙂
It's a surprising turn of event indeed but I think that's a cool pop song. A bit overproduced for my taste but definitely a good crowd-pleaser live. As far as the marketing bits go, I do think it is a honest attempt on their part to do something new and not just a "let's sell out to make more cash". This actually follow the first turn taken with "Bones" which was already getting further from "A.O.K.A.D."The question is, will we able to welcome it with open-mindedness without focusing on the genre they were meant to belong to or do we consider them done as they don't fit in that box anymore?
I'm so in love with this song ♥
This is too good……… I like the pop vibe, still staying as good as you were years ago! You never fail! Good work!
Bones is one of my favourite albums of all time, I liked the mix of relatively heavy guitar and electronics and still gritty vocals and lyrics that had meaning, with catchy hooks that weren't boring like this and I Want Out are. Their first album was amazing too. But this does feel just like what happened to FOB, and 30STM, and Paramore, they're being TOO different imo. People are attracted to them because of their sound, as a ROCK band, so it doesn't make sense for them to then go and be pop because then they'll lose half their fan base who actually were the ones that got them started. I know bands have to make different sounds, and I want them to do that, but I feel like they need to drift around the same area in their sub-genre. I think lyrically so many bands now are just getting so boring, with choruses being like one or two lines of really simple melody. That's why I don't like FOB's new stuff, cuz it's just boring and they're trying to make it all about the whoa-ohs and the one liners instead of just a good catchy chorus. I mean if you like this new style great but tbh I am nervous for the album now :/
Mmm, saw you guys at ROTR and fell in love even more than I was before..you guys are too legit : ) This is great!
Everyone is like "This is not the Young Guns I'm used to." That's because there is not one Young Guns sound! I am loving the fact that they're trying new things, and in my opinion this song KICKS ASS.
Keep doing what you guys are doing!
Also, come to Canada. We want you!
