I am used to listen to jazz rock fusion music so I have literally no problems at all feeling the pulse and groove in odd time signatures (listen to Dave Weckl Band, Chick Corea, John Patitucci, Brecker Bros and other similar fusion music).
But the difference lies within the groove. This doesn't groove at all. The drummer is playing sloppy and the bass isn't defined.

I have been listening to Dream Theater almost exclusively for well over 6 months now, and every time I try to listen to something else I find it a bit boring, so I googled how to start listening to math rock (since a lot of math rock favors the math over an "enjoyable" sound), and this was one of the songs on the site. I think this is pretty awesome,I am instantly hooked.
