I really wish they would correct the misconceptions of the duckfoot. They didn't fall out of favor because they weren't accurate. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They weren't for combat they were for mutinies. Between the barrel angle and the ridiculous unpredictable flip because the barrels didn't fire all at once nobody knew who was going to catch lead. Back in the good old days very few people actually joined the Navy of their own free will and mutinies were quite common
